2025 features in Chouette and Ara

Demand-responsive transit arrived in Chouette SaaS, real-time data became visible with Ara SaaS… 2025 has been a year of major innovations and improvements on our SaaS products. We develop many updates every year, and here are the highlights of 2025.

For schedule data

In 2025, new features in Chouette SaaS included:

• Demand-responsive transit in both GTFS and NeTEx. Do not miss our next newsletter, which will be entirely dedicated to this topic!
• Charts allowing you to visualize your data, for example the number of trips by date and by line.
• Controls helping you check that your data is in order, on codes (presence, format, uniqueness), transport modes, travel time, fare zones.
• Macros helping you automate your data flow, to define transport mode, delete codes, define journey pattern names, and modify schedules.
• More options for managing fare zones, documents, and schedules.
• Clearer and more comprehensive interfaces: Import, Export, Error Reports, Searches.

For real-time data

In 2025, new features in Ara SaaS included:

• Real-time data becomes visible. You can view lines and stops, and visualize trips and vehicles in real time.
• Facilities: you can monitor the availability of elevators, escalators, information desks, bicycle parking, and other facilities.

Overall

The performance and sustainability of our SaaS products have been improved thanks to major technical updates. We have also been very active in developing NeTEx and SIRI at the French and European levels, so that data standards best reflect the industry’s needs.
